Your pledge

Last updated · 20 October 2026

Your pledge lives in the Clearing app. Here is how to check it, withdraw, appeal or ask for a hardship release.

See your pledge status

Open Clearing on your iPhone or iPad and go to the Pledge tab. It shows the amount, your free-by date, the status timeline and every protected device. The Mac app shows a read-only summary. For your privacy we never show pledge details on a web page.

Withdraw within 14 days

In the app: Pledge → Withdraw pledge. On the web: Withdraw from contract

Appeal a notice

Use the link in the notice email, or in the app go to Pledge → Appeal. You can also write to [email protected]. Nothing is charged while an appeal is open. How appeals work.

Request a hardship release

At any time during a pledge: in the app under Pledge → Request hardship release, or by email with the subject “Hardship”. A person decides within 3 business days. If granted, the pledge ends without a charge.

Apple Pay and Wallet

If you saved Apple Pay for your pledge, Wallet lists it with your free-by date and links to this page. That date is when the pledge ends. If you make it, nothing is charged. A charge can only happen after a forfeiture event and the 48-hour notice. After the pledge ends you can remove the card in the app.

Email me my pledge status

If the email matches an Clearing account, we send the current status there. Pledge details are never shown on a web page.
